PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: July 2026
Kindled Interiors (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have. It applies to all visitors, wherever you are located.
Who we are
Kindled Interiors is an independent editorial project focused on high-end interior design, operated from France. For any privacy-related question, you can contact us at contact@kindledinteriors.com.
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us, and the minimum needed to provide what you asked for:
- Email address — when you sign up to receive our guide or newsletter (required).
- First name — if you choose to provide it (optional), so we can address you personally.
- Basic technical data — like general analytics on how the site is used (pages visited, approximate region). This is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
We do not collect payment information, and we never ask for sensitive personal data.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
We use your data only for these purposes:
- To send you the guide you requested and occasional emails about Neo-Déco design, sourcing, and Kindled Interiors. Legal basis: your consent, given when you tick the box and confirm your subscription.
- To improve the site and content, using aggregated, non-identifying usage data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding what’s useful to readers.
We use a double opt-in process: after signing up, you receive an email asking you to confirm. We only add you to our list once you click that confirmation link. You are never added without your active confirmation.
Who processes your data
We use Brevo (a French company, with data hosted in the European Union) as our email service provider. Brevo stores your contact details and sends our emails on our behalf, as a data processor bound by its own GDPR obligations. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third party for their own marketing.
Our website is hosted by Hostinger, and files are served from EU-based infrastructure.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, or ask us to delete your data, we remove it promptly from our active list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email we send.
Your rights
Wherever you live, we apply the same standard to everyone. You have the right to:
– Access the personal data we hold about you;
– Correct it if it’s inaccurate;
– Delete it (“right to be forgotten”);
– Withdraw your consent at any time;
– Object to or restrict how we use it;
– Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, simply email contact@kindledinteriors.com. We’ll respond within the timeframe required by law (30 days under the GDPR). If you’re in the EU and believe we’ve mishandled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. Any essential cookies are used to make the site function; any analytics cookies are used only in aggregate and never to build an advertising profile of you. Where required, you’ll be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Affiliate links
Some content on this site and in our emails may contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This does not involve sharing your personal data with those retailers; it’s handled through standard, anonymous referral tracking. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Significant changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
